A beautiful, diminutive accent table featuring a gloriously hand painted Fragonard-esque putti floating amongst clouds and sky as the focal point of its center cartouche. It is ‘framed’ by a deep undulating carved cove surround in an arabesque pattern.
The color of this refined, yet weighty table is a crisp cloud white layered on top of a French blue, which is applied over a base taupe ground. Its entire surface is distressed and it features a book matched surface. Its bamboo-shaped turned legs are a delicate touch. The bottom shelf is accented by a hand painted fleur-de-lis and Italian gold gilt garland flourishing. The full provenance original label is verso.
